Dyslexia Awareness Month: Week 1

Hi friends!

If you have been following the Tally Tales social media outlets, then you have seen daily posts about dyslexia this week. However, I know it's easy for information to get lost in the shuffle, so I wanted to share a Week 1 "recap" here!

First, watch this short video!

“Dyslexia affects up to 1 in 5 people, but the experience of dyslexia isn't always the same. This difficulty in processing language exists along a spectrum -- one that doesn't necessarily fit with labels like "normal" and "defective." Kelli Sandman-Hurley urges us to think again about dyslexic brain function and to celebrate the neurodiversity of the human brain.”

Now, scroll through the images below to learn some interesting facts about dyslexia and discover a couple of famous dyslexics!

This is the first week of a month-long campaign to raise awareness for dyslexia through daily insights, myth-busters, and resources! Follow along for more, all month long!
