I believe...

I believe that my first priority, as an educator, is to promote a passion for learning that will extend beyond today's lesson or tomorrow's test...

I believe that all children are capable of learning and deserve a teacher who believes they can succeed...

I believe that independence is crucial among our students. We want them to be independent readers, writers, thinkers...

I believe that students place a great trust in us, as teachers, so we must wake up worthy of their trust. Every. Single. Day...

I believe these children hold the hearts of our future; they deserve respect as the next generation of leaders in our society.

I have designed the TallyTales site to help my fellow teachers access information and resources that will support their literacy instruction in multisensory phonics, based upon the Orton Gillingham approach. I am so glad you are visiting today, and I hope you will find what you need... and more!

Shhh! Don’t tell her my secret!

I think it’s wonderful when we can create a learning experience that feels “magical” for our children! She doesn’t know that this is a multisensory technique that will help store this sight word away for long-term memory retention, nor does she need to understand all that. She just thinks there’s magic in her fingertips... and what a way to learn!

Teacher and Pupil

“I work one on one with a little boy with dyslexia and this resource was a fun way to teach phonics without relying solely on worksheets.  Great resource!” ~Marie S.

At the Library

“So love I didn't have to create this.  Thank you for taking the time to make what  teachers need.” ~Cindy Cordts
