I am Leslie Tally. I have dedicated my professional career entirely to the world of literacy. As an elementary educator, I earned recognition as the 2021 Mississippi Teacher of the Year for my passion for literacy instruction and advocacy. Currently, I am the founder of TallyTales Literacy, LLC. Through this business, I provide literacy support to individuals with dyslexia and their families throughout my community in Northeast Mississippi. The Tally Tales web site is my creative outlet for sharing resources for fellow educators and — most recently — my own journey as an author.
My debut novel, Safely Kept, is a clean, gripping, romantic suspense novel with a thread of faith woven throughout the storyline. If you live in the South, you will likely relate to the southern backdrop and cultural context. Basically, I have written the type of book I love to read as well!

Wow! This book is unlike any I have ever read! It is full of drama and suspense. It is delightfully entertaining while including moments of biblical truths sprinkled throughout a storyline that spans decades. I’m assuming it is relatable to many readers, because who also remembers weekly standing hair appointments and small town happenings that molded who we are? Who has struggled with valleys and celebrated sweet life moments? Readers will be blessed by reading this book. I can’t wait to see what this author does next.

Wonderful book!
This book completely captivated me from the very beginning. Despite not being an avid reader, I found myself unable to stop reading page after page.
